Read 'n' Seed 1: "Last Child in the Woods"

1. Last Child in the Woods
2. This book is about how children today have lost interest in the natural world and losing touch with all that it entails. The author explains how most summer camps now are for weight loss or computer programming, but when he was a kid, it was to go camping and hiking; to enjoy nature. The author focuses on how nature can be tied in with physical, mental, and spiritual health to enrich the lives of children.
3. I chose this book because my blog's focus is on the environment and how it relates to health and fitness. This book contains the environment in the state of the natural world, and its affects on physical, mental, and spiritual health.
4. Author website: Richard Louv
Information on the book: Last Child in the Woods
Review on the book: Last Child's Review
5. There are 23 chapters and 310 pages in this book. The book is divided up into seven parts, so I decided to read two parts per quarter, leaving one part for the fourth quarter. Even though each part won't have the same number of pages to read, I figured if it's divided up into parts, then I can keep all the information together as its presented.
